Flu Bug

We have been touched by a flu bug. I absolutely hate seeing the kids sick but love when they want to snuggle. Especially when they snuggle together! They were holding hands seconds before they fell asleep!! Aggghhhh, the moments that you are glad you didn't miss!

Rocking Play-doh

I broke down and bought Play-doh for Christmas! The kids woke up begging to play with it this morning! Connor has an obsession with sunglasses lately. Looks like it doesn't matter whose sunglasses he is wearing. He loves this pair and his dad just loves when he wears these pink one's too. Our little Elton John!

As I was posting this blog, Mallory brought me my own play-doh ice cream. I said "wow you made me my own ice cream?" She responds, "yes and I am eating it too" as she is chopping down and smiling ear to ear!! What was I thinking???? lol

Christmas 2011

We are back to blogging again! Christmas was so exciting this year! Connor was super excited about his new geotrax train that he got from Grandpa and Grandma Dorn and Hokey Pokey Elmo from Santa. I actually got Jeremy to take a picture with my kids! This might be one out of five that I have with the kids!! Jeremy didn't do too bad! lol

Gram made the kids aprons so now we can cook together and keep their clothes somewhat clean. They are super cute and even have their name embroidered on them.

Our family picture that we took with the self timer to get our Elf on the Shelf Happy in the background! Didn't work so well for us. On another note, this Elf was the highlight of every morning from Thanksgiving until Christmas. Mallory and Connor woke up every morning and searched the house for him. We took the tree down and she thought Santa took it and Happy!
Christmas with the Dorn's. Everyone is getting sooooo big even little Knox!! Last but not least, the past couple years my girlfriends and I all get together at Christmas and this year we did an ugly sweater theme! I think we conquered the ugly sweater goal!! We had a great time and look forward to doing it again every year!!!

Hello Kitty!

Mallory went nuts over our friends cat the past two weekends so we thought what the heck lets get her one! Thanks to a friend at work she set us right up with one she had left. Mallory lit up when it was in the car with her tonight.
Connor was even excited what little chance he gets to hold it when his sister isn't. The only problem is he likes to squeeze the kitty while grinding his teeth!! This should be very interesting!

Mrs. Potato Head & Farmhands

Mrs. Potato Head is missing her glasses!! Turns out, Mallory loves wearing them for her!!Our little farm hands helping us! We got our garden planted thanks to Darlene and Jerry and of course our little farm hands!

After a month of her lens popped out of her sunglasses we got Mallory a new pair of Dora Sunglasses!! She was quite stylin' with Pops!!

Connor absolutely loves tractor rides! Thanks Pops for giving us rides on your tractor!!

Easter Toys

One day without rain! Connor and Mallory finally got to try out their sidewalk chalk! Notice how Connor is using his chalk like a car on his sissy's leg!! She is so busy hoarding them from him she doesn't even notice!!

Wishing Spring!

Mallory and Connor love their swingset that Grandma and Grandpa Richardson got for them last year! Mallory especially loves the baby swing still and tries to outsmart Connor as much as she can to win it over!! This was one of her moves, she got me to put Connor on the other side of the twin swing and then she jumped off and ran over to the baby swing. They love the sand box and well, I have learned to appreciate a little or a lot of sand in my house!! Who needs a clean house anyway, right?? (Okay well I did get a new sweep vac that the kids LOVE to run and I let them).

We have loved these warm days when we get home! The kids play so well together and it makes for a much more productive evening!! Bring on the warmer weather!!!

Notice the sand in Connor's mouth! Guess a little in the belly never hurts anyone! We were just excited we didn't have any cat poop surprises from the winter!

Happy Birthday Maddox!

He turns 6!!!It feels like yesterday you were born! Time flies but we have enjoyed every moment of it!! We look forward to making many more memories!!

Today we celebrated Jersey's birthday. She turned the big #5. She had a very cute Hello Kitty cake decorated by Kaci. The night before we celebrated Connor's 1st Birthday. Loved this picture cause he is holding up one finger. He was so sober, as always!

Happy 1st Birthday Connor!

A year ago tomorrow I gave birth to this precious little guy! Our kids have added so much delight to our lives! I know many people say it, but really, what did we do before we had our kids. This year has flew by! He looked so old here! But looks even older with his new haircut. Birthday party pictures will be posted later!

Mohawk Babies

Lately it has been rough getting Mallory to take a bath. I have even cut back due to Connor's extremely dry skin. I know their faces don't show it but they enjoyed seeing each other with mohawks.
Connor is teething so he wouldn't let go of that wash cloth!

Post Surgery

Surgery went well today. We bribed her if she drank milk we could leave the hospital and get a balloon. Tonight we bribed her a phone call to her Grandma Dorn if she would take a bath. (We tried Grandma Richardson too but the line was busy). After her bath she was a whole new girl! At supper time she cried for butter and wouldn't eat her ice cream. She has insisted on chips, m & m's, and well basically everything we were told not to give her. Tonight, she finally ate some ice cream. We hope the good feeling lasts!! Thank you Grandma and Grandpa Richardson for coming with me today!!

Day Before Surgery

Tomorrow Mallory will have her tonsils and adenoids removed. Lots of milk and ice cream in this little girls future!

We felt so bad for her tonight knowing (yet her not knowing)

it would be her last solid

meal for a few days.

We had a better than expected visit yesterday when we took Connor to St. Louis. His head rounded out better than expected!! We are so thrilled, it is going to be a great Christmas!!

Today is Jeremy's birthday! Of course we haven't seen much of him the whole weekend since it is deer season but he did stop in to see his kiddos. It is amazing how often he does call and stop by now that we have kids!!
