Much Better!

Mallory is doing much better!! She still has a little cough but we can hear her again!! It is really scary when you know your child can make sounds but nothing is coming out. I hope we don't have to go through that again anytime soon!!

As far as the washer/dryer saga...
After a $250 discount, free delivery from Vincennes, and a free bucket of mud to fix the wall, we now have a washer and dryer that works!

This morning we went to the Strawberry Festival and started to get rained on but we left. Tomorrow, we are going to try out the boat with Ryan & Christy and the kids. I'll have pictures if we make it a float!!!

Mallory is feeling much better today after having a relaxing day at D & T's. We all got a full night of sleep last night and all that is left is a cough but it sounds much better!!!

Is It Over Yet?

What a long weekend this has been!! I can actually say that I am ready for the weekend to be over and to have my healthy baby back!

Mallory a couple of days ago. Sick but still smiling!! Lots of snot and congestion!Mallory today! Feeling better! I am still not wanting her to be around other kids for another day in hopes that she will be much better by Wednesday. Her babysitter has a full load tomorrow so Mallory is going to Dave & Teresa's tomorrow! I am so thankful for them!! She will have a ball there and I hope they enjoy her visit too!! I am sure it isn't what Dave thought he would be doing on vacation!! Thanks Dave & Teresa!Mallory woke up from her nap today in the playpen and this is how she looked. Jeremy was calling her waffle iron. It was all across her forehead too but this picture turned out the best.Last but not least, I told mom I would post a picture of our work we were acutally able to get done this weekend. Mom came over to hang out with me Saturday so I could go outside and get some of the ground worked up as you read in an earlier post. Yesterday, Jeremy, Jerry and I put the final touch of mulch on it and now we think we are finally done. Of course there will be more plants to go in but that can happen anytime!! Thanks again mom and dad for helping us get through the weekend.

Croup Update

Mallory seems to be doing a little better tonight. She has been sleeping for an hour straight now and she hasn't done that since last Wendesday. I know I should be sleeping to but it seems like when I get no sleep I stay awake for longer periods.

I think we will take the ER doctor up on his recheck tomorrow. He said that he would like to see Mallory on Sunday again. Apparently, they bill you as a recheck not as another ER visit. Never knew this and really never wanted to know but I guess we don't have choices like that when kiddos are around!!

Thank you mom for coming and visiting with Mallory and I. I was starting to get cabin fever and the walls were starting to surround me. Luckily, mom came long enough that I could go outside and prepare the landscaping bed and Jeremy and I were able to plant all of our landscaping in the front tonight when he got off work! Tomorrow we are hoping to go get mulch and put it on for the finishing touch!!

Love you mom you are the best!!

They Come in Threes

Yesterday was not a good day for the Richardson family at all!! To begin with we were so excited because recently my washing machine went to crap and we decided to go with the new front end loader. Okay, well that wasn't why it was a bad day even though those are quite expensive. When the delivery man went to hook up the water the valve busted and leaked inside our wall!! Not good!! Plumber came out 3 hours later and was here for 2 hours and had to put a hole in our "new" drywall!! Kudos to Gene the plumber for a job well done though!! That was fixed so we started the first load of laundry! Hurray...not so fast!

#2- As I shoved a huge load in the dryer and went to start the machine it wouldn't start! You have got to be kidding me!! I called the place we purchased them and well, we have a lemon!! Not even the worse part, they can't get me a new dryer until NEXT Thursday. Luckily, we kept our old dryer to give to our neighbor/friends. Sorry Scott and Amy you don't get the dryer yet!!

#3- This is where it gets really bad!! 11:00 pm Mallory wakes up unable to breath, gasping for air, we think she is choking. I start to do the baby heimlich and Jeremy ran to her crib to see if there was anything she could have choked on. Nothing!! After phone calls to both mothers, and 3 hours later of no relief, we loaded up and took Mallory to the ER. The doctor ordered a chest x-ray to rule out pneumonia and at 4 am they came back with a diagnosis...Croup! Seriously, I thought kids got that many years ago!! How has it come back? Needless to say it is the scariest thing when your child is in danger.

Hopefully, the Richardson Family luck will change directions. As for us, we will be spending this weekend homeward bound until she shows signs of recovery!

As for all of you, Happy Memorial Day Weekend!! Hope you all enjoy it!!

Sleeping Beauty, Puffy Cheeks, & Blowouts

Our latest, catchy title don't you think...hee hee
Mallory has found a new way to sleep! She started this last week! Sure doesn't look comfy but we were told her Aunt Kaci used to do this! Thanks Aunt Kaci!!! ;)
I didn't think that I had any recent pictures of Jeremy but Sunday he helped me vacuum the house and I snapped a shot. I had to crop a pic of his face! He just had his wisdom teeth removed last Wednesday and he STILL feels miserable!! He looks like he has a big chew in, doesn't he! Just think, this was 5 days later. Mallory enjoyed spending the time with her dad at home though!!

Last but not least, my baby girl in an outfit by Steve and Susie Hardwick. It is a 6-9 month but we are getting closer to the 6 month so it fit pretty good. The undershirt that came with it didn't fit but the dress was adorable, that is until Mallory gave Uncle Larry a surprise out the bottom of it!! Sorry Uncle Larry!!

Weekend Part II

This was Mallory's full time sitter over the weekend! Mallory enjoyed all the attention from all the camping girls!!
We also went to my friend Kelly's house since she was home for Mother's Day. It was great to see all of the family!
My friend's dad Steve and Mallory. My friend's mom Susie and Mallory. We hung out at their house a lot when we were little so I told Susie I thought we should stop in on Mother's Day. Susie and Steve have a couple grand dogs but I get the feeling they are ready for some grand kids. I'm sure it will be soon enough!! Congratulations to their son Brian on his recent marriage!!
Last but not least, my little girl taking a BIG girl bath now. She was ready to get out of the baby tub and splash those little legs around in the water!! She really likes her bathtub book that Uncle Larry and Aunt DeAnn got her.

A Great First

I had a Great 1st Mother's Day Weekend! We had supper with Jeremy's family Friday night at a restaurant called the Hot Biscuit. On Saturday night Mallory and I went to the campgrounds and spent the night with my parents. Today, we all had a cook-out at the campground. Mallory had a full-time babysitter on hand so it was great for her! She was getting spoiled! I can't seem to figure out how to post lots of pictures so I will have to post part 2 later!

Grandma and Grandpa Dorn and Mallory posing for a picture! It was so cold out there this weekend. Thank goodness I had her stocking cap and a coat in the car. When we got home today, this is what I had for my 1st Mother's Day from Mallory and her daddy -My card says: "To My wife on Mother's Day, I don't care where we go, I don't care what we do...as long as I'm spending it right next to you!" (the I'm was crossed out and changed to we are and Mallory's picture was under the bear on the right)!! Too cute!! Who would have thought!!!
