Chicago Trip Day 2

We started the second day going to the Chicago History Museum. We couldn't decide which museum to go to so we thought this would interest both Jeremy and I. There was an Air & Water Show going on that brought like 2.5 million people in to Chicago. It was crazy!! We had to take a picture of this ice cream truck because it brought back some childhood memories! It seemed like there was one on every street corner. Our tour guides Kelly and Kylie who navigated us to an 80's Rock Band Street Festival! It was awesome music!
We traveled to Millenium Park and had a family portrait at Buckingham Fountain.
The twin towers in Millenium Park with an interactive face that spits water out. It was really hot so everyone was running through the water barefoot. We could see the airplanes and jets go by as we were in the park.
Stopping for a pose on Michigan Avenue. We did some shopping and most importantly got Mallory an outfit for her 8 month pictures next weekend.
It was a great weekend had by all of us! Thanks again Kelly & Kylie for your hospitality over the weekend. You guys made the trip so much more enjoyable!!
Last but not least,
Happy 6th Anniversary to my sweetheart!!
Thanks for the great weekend.

View from our room! Mallory is doing awesome! View from the ferris wheel at Navy Pier.
The huge ferris wheel that we rode on, including Mallory. She had no clue she was even on it because it moved really, really slow!
The family!!
Our tour guide, Kelly!!
It is so great seeing her again and having her spend time with all of us!!
Thanks Kel!

Thank you Aunt Kaci!!

Mallory skipped the babysitters today and spent the day with her Aunt Kaci, Lane and Jersey! Aunt Kaci took pictures and sent them to me!!
Looks like all the kids had a good time!
I think these two are going to be buddies!! Mallory and her cuz Jersey!
Definitely looks like Aunt Kaci's house has fun toys to play with!
Thanks again for letting Mallory spend the day with you! I am so glad the plan finally went through without any sickness!! Everytime we planned this outing one of the kids got sick and we had to cancel!!

8 Months and On the Go

Mallory turned 8 months this week!! I am just a few days behind on posting! DeAnn, Mallory, the boys and I all took a day and went shopping in Champaign. The kids were a bunch of troopers considering I was the main one that needed new momma clothes!! DeAnn said Maddox walked into Motherhood Maternity looking for me and saw a bunch of bras and said woo wee boobies!! What a character!! Such a big cuz! I bought Mallory some new jeans and when we got home we tried them on. Once again our little character came in and said "Mallory is a cowgirl." We were cracking up!!! Now she just needs a pair of boots!!
Gavin did his own hair to go to the big city. DeAnn thought he would fit in to the city. He had to get a new pair of Heely's (I think that is what he called them). I was educated, these are shoes with roller skates on the bottom of them. He had a hard time standing up and walking with them.
And then there is our 8 month old who is pulling up to everything and thinks she is big stuff. I was putting my clothes away in the closet and this is what I came out to. By the time I snapped the picture she fell backwards and her bouncy chair came with her.
Gavin helped me pick out a pair of sunglasses for our busy bee!! They are a little big but she is a little gal!! Isn't she cool!! Gavin and Maddox sure thought she was!
This weekend we went camping with my family. Granny Dorn came out and thought Mallory needed to try some real food. She had all kinds of new foods that she likes!!
Eggs prepared by Grandma Dorn!! Yum Yum
This is our little squirt pulling up to the barstools. Her favorite thing to do!! It sure isn't easy to get her out of this. Her dad calls it her jail!!
Last but not least, all this fun wears an 8 month old out!!! I don't think Grandma Dorn knew she was going to be part of the picture!! Sorry Mom!

Our weekend involved a Benefit Ride for Special Olympics. This picture only shows half of the bikes that took part in the ride. We had over 80 bikes and over 100 participants!! Great time was had and we avoided the rain until the very end!!
Jeremy and I took a jeep instead of a motorcycle this year. I rode on a very unique motorcycle with this dog for one section of the ride. His name was Harley, imagine that!! He barked at every car that went by when he wasn't sleeping.
This is a picture of the unique bike and the owner of the motorcycle. It is quite impressive.
Here the dog was sleeping waiting for us to leave from the Effingham stop.
And then there is my baby girl!! Sad that we left her but she had a great time at Grandma and Grandpa Richardson's. She spent the night at their house Friday night!!
Daddy and Mallory drooling over the jeep we rode in over the weekend. Thanks Josh for letting us use your jeep!! We skipped church Sunday so we could go cruising one last time. Jeremy said we would stop by the cabin and that would count as church!! He has an interesting outlook don't you think?
Mom and dad came over tonight to help us get our corn and beans out before the rain starts this week. Mom and I snapped beans and Mallory helped in her own way!! She is definitely getting too big, too fast and pulling up to everything!! She is always on the MOVE!

Random Pics

Congratulations to Jack and Kerrie Weidner on their wedding day last weekend! It was a beautiful wedding!! Our little princess!
Climbing everything!!! She loves our entertainment center because of the glass doors. Used to she would just bump her head up to it and now she is lifting up and reaching the things that used to be out of reach, like the remote!!! She is getting too big too fast!
This weekend is our 4th Annual Poker Run for Special Olympics. Anyone interested can join us. It starts at 11 am at KBJ's on Route 50 in Bridgeport!!

Caught

Does this picture say I'm caught pulling up or what??

Miss Mallory is moving along rapidly. We already had to lower the crib because she was caught pulling up to the side railing. Now, she is pulling up to her toy basket in the living room.

I was off today for a doctor's appointment and that turned out to be a good thing. Mallory had 101.8 temperature and cried most of the day. Hoping we wake up tomorrow to a much better start!!
