Survived the Return

Today was the second day back to work. The night before day one, Mallory must have sensed I was a little uneasy because she was up crying all night. Lucky for the sitter she slept all morning. When I called that morning Mallory had one of her explosive spit-ups and when I got there at the end of the day Mallory had the same outfit on but the sitter didn't!! Oops!! I will admit, I did cry the night before and in the morning when I had to put her in the carseat. So sad!

Day 2 went much better outside of the dangerous driving conditions. I am thankkful I have a 4-wheel drive vehicle. I felt really sorry for the people who were in cars and had to go to work. Although a little scary it was kinda fun busting through the snow. Brings back the kid in me!

On Day 1 I had flowers delivered to me at work. When they called to tell me I had flowers to pick up I asked who sent them and they told me Mallory! Thanks Aunt Kaci for helping Mallory make her first purchase for her mommy. Here is a picture of both of my precious gifts! Thank you everyone for all the kind words to get me through the tough return.

Going back to work is so difficult. As everyone always says it does get easier. It is so hard to imagine that when Mallory is so little. Today I sent my kids off to Nana's just so I could get a few things done around the house (I am taking a break from working). 3 1/2 years ago I never would of guessed that I would do such a thing. I hope the rest of the week goes good.

I have been wondering all week how your first day back was! Sounds like it went well, or I guess as well as it could have!! Each day will get better! But I still have to remind myself every once in while why I went back!!!
